SIM Lab updates

The Simulation Center was looking for a solution to latency in the audio monitoring between the control rooms and the simulation rooms. Our solution for this issue was to run analog audio monitoring along side the Learning Space software they use to record their sessions. We installed brand new audio interfaces in each control room and ran audio cable to those interfaces from the ceiling microphones inside the corresponding simulation rooms. This allowed the operators to listen to the people inside the simulation room with no delay. We also installed brand new speakers and amps inside the simulation rooms to allow the operators to talk back to the individuals inside via a microphone inside the control room. This created a latency free communication system for all individuals in both rooms, and also allowed for higher quality audio during a simulation.
